What equipment do I need?
Computer:
Windows 2000, XP, or Vista (our system is not currently compatible
with Macs)
At least a 400 MHz processor and 256 Mb of RAM
1 Gig of free space on your hard drive
Sound Card
High Speed Internet
DSL, cable or other high speed internet connection with at least 500Kbit
uplink of broadband
Camera: You may use any of the following devices
Standard USB webcam, or
Camcorder with Osprey 200 or higher capture card, or with streaming
capabilities and FireWire out.
We also recommend that you have a microphone and some good lighting.
Will my friends
and family be able to see me?
You have the
option to block any country from being able to see you. Our
sophisticated network reads the IP address of the computers of all the
visitors. This will give the actual location of that computer, and if
the computer is in a country on your blocked list you will not be
visible to that user.
Please note, that if you are a resident of the United States we do not
suggest that you use this feature as most of our visitors come from the
US and you would be blocking most of your revenue potential.
It is worth remembering that visitors to these kinds of sites are
unlikely to talk about what they see due to the nature of the site they
have chosen to visit!
Is it vital that
I look stunningly attractive?
As with most jobs
in the adult industry, a model’s physical appearance plays a significant
role in a model’s ability to entertain and earn great money. However,
having a great attitude and highly flirtatious nature are the most
important factors for success on our network.
Can I perform with anyone else?
If you wish to do
a duo show, then each performer must apply for their own solo account
ensuring that you make it clear that you wish to perform with whoever
else is applying. We will then create three access codes for you, 2 solo
performer accounts and 1 duo account.
Please ensure that if you are logged on as a solo that nobody else can even be seen in the shot as this is a breach of our legal requirements.
What experience do I need?
In short, none!
You only need to have the charisma, ambition, and desire to succeed.
Is my age a problem?
As long as you
are over 18, then no!
The most popular age range tends to be the 18-25 category. However there
is no upper age limit. With over 160,000 visitors to the network daily
or visitors have a wide range of tastes and types.
Does it cost me anything?
No, you won’t
have to pay a penny!
This is a job where you get paid, not the other way around like some
scams you may see on the net! How you decide to spend your money is your
choice entirely.
Why do I have to
give you my real name and ID?
During the
sign-up process you must provide your true name and contact details, and
prove it by providing a scan of your state or government issued ID. It
is a legal requirement that this information is gathered for anyone
working in the adult entertainment industry.

How long
after signing up can I begin broadcasting?
If you complete
the registration steps promptly, you can normally begin working in less
than 48 hours. lease note we are a truly international business, so be
aware that time differences and local public holidays could sometimes

will we sell or distribute any of your information to third parties. You

WEB CAM MODELS REVENUE
AND PAY FAQ'S:
It is like a
virtual bank account. Your money will be placed into your
own ePassport account, what you do with it after that point
is up to you. With ePassporte you can transfer the money
into your own bank account, or use their own virtual VISA
account (where they give you a virtual card, so you can
spend it on any website that accepts VISA) or you can ask
for an actual visa debit card (this is what I have done)
then you can spend the money you have earned directly from
your ePassporte account in any shop in the world that
accepts visa or any ATM with the visa sign.
ePassport is
a great way of getting your money, as it remains totally
separate from your day-to-day earnings. Making it easier to
keep your new job a secret from loved ones if you need to!
You get paid
into the account every two weeks (one week after you have
earned it) you do have to reach a minimum of $50 for the
payment to be processed (if in the VERY UNLIKELY case that
you don’t reach that, the money simply rolls over to the
next pay period))
Our web cam
models are paid every two weeks, one week after the pay
period ends.
Some networks
will make you wait up to 6 weeks for your money but not
here!
For a payment
to be processed you must have earned the minimum of $50 in
that 2 week period, if you haven’t reached that the money
will simply roll over to the next period. In practice we
have found that models always do earn way over the minimum
amount.
Simple, you will
have access to all your account details, including many
in-depth reports such as how much time you have been online
in each of the show types, and income breakdown by day,
customer, etc etc
No information
is hidden from you.
Many sites and
studios say they offer great rates of pay, or highly
competitive rates, but never actually tell you what that
rate is. We pride ourselves on being honest and open.

There are
other ways to increase your income too, such as tips,
bonuses, and even premium multi-user shows for models who
are very popular.
This is a truly
world-wide business. As you can imagine peak viewing times
for this kind of material is evening and night times,
however, it is always evening and night somewhere in the
world. Most of the income generated comes from the USA,
United Kingdom, Western Europe and Australia. So that means
that there is always the chance to make money, no matter
what time you log on.
That is entirely
dependent on you! When you are logged on to the site you are
part of the busiest and best broadcasting network, the
visitors and money are there waiting to be had by you. If
you are friendly, fun, sexy, flirtatious, you will start to
earn very quickly. As the guests get to know you you will
find that you can and will build up a loyal fan base. These
repeat customers are what really drive up your earnings.
As a rough
estimate, if you choose to work 3 hours a day 5 days a
week, and manage to be in a private conversation for half
the time you are on you would be making over $600 (US$) per
week.
We have found
that the average that new models earn is between $1000 and
$2000 per month.
But as we
say, it is all down to you.
How do I make money?
There are
several ways to earn money while broadcasting. when
you login to broadcast the free chat room (you are not paid
while in this room) Visitors will come into this
room, where you will chat, flirt and tease them until
someone decides to take you into a private room where they
start paying per minute.
You will earn money while in the private
1-on-1 show with a customer. You will also be paid for
Voyeur (customers who choose to watch a show but cannot
actively participate) minutes, tips, bonuses, referral
incentives, and Video On Demand (VOD) - all your private
shows are automatically recorded and added to your performer
profile page. Guests can (and often do) choose to view these
videos again and again, you are paid each time one is viewed
so will even earn money when you are not on-line!

WEB CAM PERFORMING FAQ'S:
No, we are a
separate company that exists solely to provide models to perform on the
Video Secrets network. There are many other studios that work in similar
ways to ours. We obviously believe that we are the best choice for you,
but would suggest that you email us, and any other studios you have
found. Ask questions and see who you feel you would be more comfortable
working for. Also ask about the per minute pay rates. We are always
transparent about our rates as you will see here in the FAQ.
We suggest Halogen lights placed in front of you and behind the
camera (lights placed behind you will cause your camera to focus on
them making you appear dark) will provide the best lighting, allow
your camera to focus on you more accurately, this can even make your
skin appear flawless.
What type of camera
should I use?
You can use any,
however, remember the better the quality, the more people will likely to
take you into private. If your cam is poor quality why would a customer
pay $6 per minute to view it? But don’t let this put you off if you
can’t afford a high quality camera. You will still be able to earn, so
just save some of your new income and invest it in better technology to
increase your own income. We recommend using a MiniDV camcorder
connected via FireWire (IEEE 1394) cable. Camcorders provide customers
with high speed, clear video and are capable of zooming. If you must use
a USB webcam, we recommend any of the Logitech QuickCam Pro webcams.
Built-in notebook web cams are not recommended.
You are not paid for
time spent in public chat while you are paid per minute of time spent in
private chat. Public chat is free for all customers and gives them a
chance to get to know you and what they can expect before they purchase
time. Public chat is also a great way for you to get to know the
customer base and entice them to purchase private time. You can tease
customers while in public chat and may be topless. No other nudity is
permitted in the public chat room. While in private, you are only Studios
by a few rules and can get to know the customer much more intimately.
No all this is taken
care of for you. The fantastic team of affiliates and the marketing
department take care of all that. They provide the traffic, your only
job is providing the entertainment.
You are our model, not our advertising guru after all!
No. All customers
pay the same for all models. This is a real benefit to performing on
this network. Although other networks pride themselves on giving control
to their models by allowing them to set their own rates from as little
as $0.90 to as much as $10 per minute, this actually works against the
models there. Imagine you are a customer for a second, and you are
browsing for a model to spend your money on, just like when you are out
shopping, you will be more tempted by the cheaper option. So the models
who have the cheaper rates get the most work. Here, across the whole VS
network, all model’s standard rates are the same. That rate is $6 per
minute. Other sites may offer a higher percentage payout, but the per
minute rate that you would be paid is almost always around half of what
you would get here.
You will be presented
with the basic broadcasting rules every time you log in, and must click
to say you agree.It is imperative you stick to the rules, breaches
will result in fines being imposed, or possible closing of your account,
without warning and forfeiting any pay owed.
Two rules we would like to emphasize to you now is that you must
never ever disclose your personal details to a guest (and they will
ask time and time again! Trust us!) Do not take down any email
addresses either, because as soon as you email that person you have
disclosed your email address and broken the rules. This rule is here
to protect you and your safety (and of course the revenue for the
site - but your safety should be your number one priority) Remember
this is a job for you, not a dating service.
The second vital rule is that you should never be completely
naked in Free Chat mode, that means you cannot show your genitalia
or anus. Or wear see-through under ware to cover these parts.
Penetrating yourself with a dildo is therefore also against the
rules in free chat mode.
We can’t emphasize the importance of sticking to all the rules
all the time. Your chat rooms are monitored by our staff, the site
staff and regular visitors to the site who gladly report back. Don’t
risk your money, job and safety!
No, never do
anything that you are not comfortable with. However, do bear in mind
that you will be working in the adult entertainment industry. People
visit mainly for sexual gratification, therefore if you are not prepared
to be completely nude in a private chat whilst engaging in solo sexual
play then this is not the job for you. If you are asked to do something
that you don’t like, makes you feel uncomfortable, is against the law,
or against the broadcasting rules then politely explain the situation,
and tell them how much fun the can have with you in other ways. It goes
without saying that the more “interesting” your show the more money you
are likely to make by having longer shows, more return visitors and rave
reviews. So the inclusion of toys, role play or costumes for example
could help, but is up to you.

Our suggestion is that you do choose hours that are regular, and
use your model profile page to advertise those hours. New models
will form their own fan-base much more quickly if visitors know
when to find them online.
You are the boss, you decide!
All we ask is that you do work at least ten hours per two-week
pay period. That is only 5 hours a week, so very easy to
achieve. If you can’t work that much then let us know, we will
be happy bend this rule should you want some time off.
